MR. VANCE'S NEWS TO USE THIS WEEK
JANUARY 14, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,
A New Year's Prayer
Lord, You make all things new
You bring hope alive in our hearts
And cause our Spirits to be born again
Thank you for this new year
For all the potential it holds.
Come and kindle in us
A mighty flame
So that in our time, many will see the wonders of God
And live forever to praise Your glorious name.

These are unprecedented times, but we are resilient. These are challenging times, but we are hopeful. These are stressful times, but we place our trust in Christ to carry us through. Please continue to keep all Saint Ignatius students, staff, and families in your thoughts and prayers.
In Christ's Peace,
Kevin Vance
Principal

GENTLE ANNOUNCEMENTS AND REMINDERS
Covid 19 Cases in your Family? If Covid 19 affects your family, we ask that you contact our school nurse, Mrs. Kathy Reder at
kreder@saintischool.org.
Please let her know if someone in your family has tested positive or that they have been
quarantined due to exposure to the virus. This information will help us track how prevalent it is in our community and plan for the future of your child's education.
Can Shorts be worn through the Winter?
Students in grades preschool through 5 should be wearing pants during the winter months. We are doing a trial for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 to continue to wear shorts if they so decide. Students wearing shorts will continue to go outside for recess just like the girls who are wearing their skirts. Please dress warmly.
THE CATHOLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Catholic Education Foundation for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for the 2021-2022 elementary school (K-8) tuition assistance grants. All grants are needs-based, and can be used at any Catholic elementary school within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Typically, awards have ranged from $250 to $1,200 per qualified student.
Please go to www.catholicbestchoice.org by February 8 to apply.

SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
This pertains to the Parking Lot where the basketball hoops are located and the new preschool entrance. With the preschool entrance being located in this area, more cars are parking here for dismissal at the end of the day. We ask that every driver pull into a designated parking spot and park. When leaving, please follow the lanes that are created for traffic flow and not drive across numerous parking spots when exiting. We have seen delay in buses getting to their location and the possibility of fender benders between cars.
Thanks so much!
