MR. VANCE'S NEWS TO USE THIS WEEK
FEBRUARY 19, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Mother Nature reminded us that she is in charge this week but we have been able to be in person at least two days and one in remote learning. Once again, I thank you for being supportive during this hectic week. A highlight of the week was celebrating Ash Wednesday as a school "Covid style". Students and staff watched Mass remotely, then received ashes and Communion while in their classrooms. As I walked the hallways, I witnessed our students reverently saying the responses to the prayers, prayerfully praising God, and receiving Christ in the form of the Eucharist. It was a heart-warming experience.
During Lent, we continue to focus on prayer, fasting and almsgiving in our classrooms and hallways. May your Lenten journey be a time to humbly repent and renew your relationship with Christ.
I am amazed by our students who are very resilient. If we watch and listen to them, they will lead us and be examples of how to persevere in difficult situations.
These are unprecedented times, but we are resilient.
These are challenging times, but we are hopeful.
These are stressful times,
but we place our trust in Christ to carry us through.
Please continue to keep all St. Ignatius students, staff, and families in your thoughts and prayers.
In Christ's Peace,
Kevin Vance
Principal
