MR. VANCE'S NEWS TO USE THIS WEEK
APRIL 16, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we complete this week of the quarter, we have only five more weeks of the 2020-2021 school year! When we started in August, it was unclear how long we would be able to continue in-person learning. Now, we are finishing the year with students and staff working diligently together to accomplish all curriculum goals and religious formation. Again, a big thank you to all parents and guardians for the many sacrifices you have made for this to be possible. Also, much appreciation to our remarkable staff and student body for following all the prescribed health and safety guidelines. What a year!
This past Sunday, a St. Ignatius alumni and his son gave a witness reflection on Divine Mercy Sunday. Mr. David Kissell shared what mercy means to him and how prayer has sustained his family during a very difficult time, and shared how his faith and hope endured. Mr. Kissell begins his witness at the 30-minute mark on the video. I hope you get a chance to hear their story about hope and the power of prayer.

The video for the Divine Mercy Prayer Service and Witness Talk is located at this link. I look forward to these last five weeks of school where we will enjoy many student successes in and out of the classroom.
These are unprecedented times, but we are resilient.
These are challenging times, but we are hopeful.
These are stressful times, but we place our trust in Christ to carry us through.
Please continue to keep all St. Ignatius students, staff, and families
in your thoughts and prayers.
In Christ's Peace,
Kevin Vance
Principal
NO ANIMALS ON CAMPUS DURING DISMISSAL
For safety and health reasons, we ask that dogs or any other pets remain at home. Animals should not be brought onto campus during pick up at dismissal time. This includes dogs on a leash. We recognize that some dogs are service animals and are exempt. However, please be cognizant of potential student allergies and/or fears children may have of strange dogs. A pet may be gentle at home but unpredictable when coming into contact with numerous children.
Dogs on campus during other times must be on a leash, not only for the safety of parishioners, staff, and students at St. Ignatius, but also for the safety of your beloved pets. Thank you for doing your part to keep our campus safe!
