MR. VANCE'S NEWS FOR THE WEEK
FEBRUARY 17, 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe that we are at the 3rd quarter midterm! Students in grades 3-8 should have received their 3rd quarter midterm report on Tuesday. If you have not seen it, please contact the office and they will resend it to you.
We have had several inquiries about our current stance on Covid and health protocols. We are still following the advice from the Ohio Department of Health and Hamilton County Health with regards to the "Mask to Stay" and "Test to Play" guidelines. The Ohio Department of Health informed us that new guidance would be coming on February 4, but they have postponed it with no new date. The School Leadership Team is meeting and discussing what our next steps will be to safely ease some of the Covid 19 protocols. The number of positive Covid cases in the county has greatly diminished and currently we only
have two Covid positive cases in our student body. Effective January 26,2022, the school is no longer required to do universal contact tracing, which has led to fewer quarantines and less children out of class. Having children safely in face-to-face instruction as many days as possible has been one of our main goals, and we are continuing on that path. We hope to have more information about volunteers and other activities will coming soon.
Finally, a huge Congratulations to the Class of 2022! Due to their hard work, dedication, prayer, use of their God given gifts, exemplary instruction, a rigorous curriculum, reflection, and grit, this class was awarded $1,775,952 in high school scholarships. We are so proud of the Class of 2022, and their many accomplishments. Please see the complete list attached to this Wire.
I continue to lift you and all St. Ignatius families in prayer every day. Please continue to pray for the staff, students, and benefactors of this school. It is a source of strength and support. Also, please offer a special prayer for those students preparing for First Communion and Confirmation. May you and your family feel Jesus’ presence every day.
In Christ’s Peace,
Kevin Vance
