MR. VANCE'S NEWS FOR THE WEEK
MAY 6, 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Art Week has been a huge success! There have been many activities, exhibits, and presentations for the students and staff. Some of these included a band concert, a play, The Why You Matter exhibit, chalk art, and a magician, Mike Super. A big thanks to the committee that planned and implemented this remarkable week: Mrs. Mills, Mr. Holt, Mrs. Burrill, Ms. Emerick, Mrs. Menzer, Mrs. Rischmann, and Mr. Villarroel. We truly experienced “Seeking Truth, Beauty and Goodness Through Our Senses.”
The “Why You Matter” picture exhibit will be open for public viewing on Saturday, May 14th, from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm, and also on Sunday, May 15th, from 9:30am until 1:30pm. Come to the exhibit after Mass and have your child show you their picture and have a quick discussion about why they chose their “I matter” statement. I am quite sure you will be impressed with this special exhibit.
As we conclude the week, we salute our faculty during this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week. We are so grateful for our teachers who nurture our students’ faith and challenge them in their academics. It is remarkable to work with these professionals who are focused on growth of all students. Thank you to our faculty for using their many gifts and talents for others.
Congratulations to Ms. Schoenfeld’s and Mrs. Rischmann’s second grade classes who received their First Holy Communion last Sunday. We are very happy for them and their families. Please remember in prayer the students and families of students in Ms. Eichhold’s, Mrs. Crowley's, and Ms. Cassaro's homerooms. These three homerooms will receive their First Eucharist this Saturday and Sunday.
I continue to lift you and all St. Ignatius families in prayer every day. Please continue to pray for the staff, students, and benefactors of this school. Continue to offer a special prayer for those students preparing for First Communion and the Class of 2022. It is a source of strength and support. May you and your family feel Jesus’ presence every day.
In Christ’s Peace,
Mr. Kevin Vance
Principal
