Mr. VANCE'S NEWS TO USE THIS WEEK
JANUARY 12, 2023
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Support for the Bengals was very evident in the halls of St. Ignatius School today! Tshirts, sweatshirts, and jerseys were worn by students and staff alike in hope of a big win this weekend. Who Dey!
Just a gentle reminder that school is closed tomorrow, Friday, January 13, for School of Faith, and Monday, January 16, in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
We are at the midpoint of the year, and it has flown by! This time of the year brings all kinds of excitement for our current students and new ones that will be joining us for next year.
We are near the completion of registering returning students and new students for the 23-24 school year. Acceptance letters for new students will be sent the week of February 1. All indications are that we will have another record year for enrollment.
Our 8th graders received lots of good news last night as they received their acceptances for high school. There were many smiles this morning and celebrations! Over the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to speak with the admissions directors of various Catholic high schools, and I hear some of the same statements and would like to share some of those with you. “We love Saint Ignatius students!” “Your students are always so well prepared!” “St. Ignatius students are leaders, athletes, and great scholars.” I am so pleased to hear these comments about our students.
A big thanks to the staff and parents who support and live out our mission. I invite all of our current families and students to an Open House from 1:00-2:30pm on Sunday, January 29. Come and tour your child’s room, meet their teachers, and review some of their classwork. We look forward to seeing you on that afternoon.
Please join me in continuing to pray that this school year is filled with wonder and awe for our students. May all of our students, parents, staff, alumni, and friends feel God’s loving presence now and always.
In Christ’s Peace,
Kevin Vance
Principal
