Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy Catholic Schools Week! On Sunday, January 29, we start our annual celebration of Catholic Schools Week(CSW) with an Open House for our current families. This event begins at 1:00pm and ends at 2:30pm. Please stop by after Mass and meet your child’s teachers and see some of the great work they do here at school. More information about CSW is on a flyer at the end of this Wire. There are many fun and exciting things scheduled for the week.
The process of enrollment of new families is underway for the 2023-24 school year. Students currently in our Pre-Kindergarten class or 4-year-old pre-school classes who applied to Kindergarten have been accepted for next year. Our enrollment numbers for next school year look great, and we anticipate the Preschool and Kindergarten to be at capacity!
Earlier this week, an email went out to introduce and invite parishioners to participate in the Disciple Maker Index Survey about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute! The survey is now open and runs through February 27. This information from this 10-15 minute survey will be invaluable to Fr. Mannebach and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. It will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential and the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole. We appreciate your participation with this parish-wide initiative. A big thank you to Joanna Brougham and Stefanie Kramer who coordinated our After School Enrichment Program these past few weeks. Approximately 300 students participated in mini courses on various topics including pottery, cake decorating, card playing, MMA, cookie decorating, jewelry making, and more!
Finally, the tuition scale for next year has been set. After working with the Finance Committee and Parish Council, tuition for next year increased 3% for the elementary school and 5% for the preschool. We strive to provide a remarkable education for the best price possible. We are grateful for the subsidy from the parish that closes the gap between the tuition dollars brought in and the actual cost of educating the children of St. Ignatius. Please see the new tuition scale attached to this version of the Wire.

APPLY NOW FOR THE CATHOLIC EDUCATION FOUNDATION (CEF) SCHOLARSHIPS
This message is sent directly from the Archdiocese' Catholic Schools Office:
"The application window for Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) 2023-2024 Elementary School Tuition Assistance Scholarships is open between now and February 3, 2023.
The process will work, as it has in the past with families applying through FACTS Grant and Aid Management. Families should upload their 2021 tax return when applying, this eliminates the need to wait for 2022 to be filed.
We are excited to again be offering Welcome Scholarships to first in the family incoming preschool or kindergarten students! We are also happy to be able to continue the lottery for students of elementary school employees. Both programs will kick off in January and more details will be sent to you soon."

A few notes about Catholic Schools Week...
We are so excited to be able to celebrate Catholic Schools Week next week. We have a lot of fun activities planned for both staff and students. Please make note of the attached schedule for what is planned for each day. Most days are filled with out-of-uniform fun but I do want to note that Wednesday we have the privilege of celebrating morning Mass as a whole school. This day we will wear our uniform bottoms, but each grade level may wear their "Live In Love" class t-shirts. I also want to remind everyone that we have our Open House this Sunday from 1-2:30. This is a chance for our current families to come see all of the great things that have been happening in our school. The Spirit Shop will also be open that day from 12:30-2:00, in the library. They will be closing promptly at 2:00, so don't wait too long to do your shopping! We can't wait to see you on Sunday!

Finally, we have been working on the calendar for '23-'24 school year. While we are not able to release the full calendar just yet, I can tell you our start date will be Wednesday, August 30, and our end date will be Thursday, June 6, 2024.

OPEN POSITIONS ON THE FINANCE COMMITTEE
The Finance Committee has open positions that need to be filled. We are looking for candidates who are active members of the parish and have demonstrable skill, knowledge or expertise in management or finance. The finance committee meets quarterly for approximately 90 minutes. Sub-committees are formed as needed which should require less than an hour per month. SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!

SEEKING ASSISTANTS IN THE ATRIUM
Would you like to help the children of our school and parish enjoy a deeper relationship with God? The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in
Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, and respect for the child’s rich relationship with God. Last year we began this Catechesis with our parish PSR program and St. Ignatius Preschool students. It has produced amazing fruits within their lives,
as well as our own. This year we have also added St. Ignatius Kindergarten into this amazing formation.
