Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week we welcomed back 1165 Wildcats! We celebrated our faith together by attending an all-school Mass on Wednesday afternoon. Our amazing staff of approximately 150 is honored to partner with you this year in your child’s education and spiritual growth. Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gift.
The month of September will be dedicated to learning about the Virtue of Charity. Students will be introduced to holy role models as exemplified by the lives of St. Gertrude, St. Vincent de Paul, and Ven. Laura Vicuna. Charity is loving God will all your heart, mind, strength, and your neighbor as yourself.
This is a gentle reminder to fill out all of those necessary beginning-of-year forms!
- Back to School Forms (In Alma - make sure you hit the “complete” button when you get to the end.)
- EdChoice Expansion Program Request forms due to Ms. Thomas in the school office today!
- EdChoice Expansion Income Verification (completed online) due by October 14. The sooner you get this finished the faster they will process it.
- Free and Reduced School Meals Application - If you feel you may qualify for this, a new form needs to be filled out each year. Mrs. Reynolds needs this ASAP. It can be found here at this link.
We are bringing back Meet The Teacher in person this year! We will have two nights of Meet The Teacher. The first, Wednesday, September 6, will be for parents of students in grades 1-4 and all specials teachers. The second, Thursday, September 7, will be for parents of students in grades 5-8. See specifics below.
On behalf of all the students and staff, I thank you for your gracious support and commitment to our school. We are proud that St. Ignatius continues to be a remarkable school providing rigorous education immersed in prayer, worship, and service. MEET THE TEACHER INFORMATION
Wednesday, September 6, 6:30pm.
Grades 1-4 and specials teachers
- Teachers will give two of the same “presentations.”
- The first will occur starting at 6:30pm, and the second one will begin at 7:15pm. This will give parents with multiple children an opportunity to visit another grade level.
- Please go to your child’s homeroom. Teachers will give a short presentation, give time to explore the room, and answer questions.
- Special teachers: art, Mrs. Mills - room 116, music, Mr. Holt and Mr. Heisler - room 219, physical education, Mrs. Wissel - gym, technology and Innovation, Mr. Heglin and Mr. Morgan - iLab located in the library, Theology of the Body, Mrs. Geckle - library, will also be available if you would like to stop in and say “hi” in between classroom talks or at anytime during the 6:30-8 PM time frame.

Grades 5-8
- Parents of students in these grade levels will follow their child’s schedule.
- The program will begin in your child’s HOMEROOM at 6:30 PM.
- Teachers will give a short 10-minute presentation. We will allow for about 5 minutes of travel time and the next teacher will begin their presentation at 6:45 PM.
- Continue to follow your child’s schedule, rotating every 15 minutes.
- I realize this presents a challenge for those with multiple children in the grade level. Feel free to follow up with any teachers that you were not able to hear from throughout the evening.
- Classroom teachers will help your child inform you about their daily schedule.
TUITION PAYMENTS
Tuition statements were sent out earlier this month. If you anticipate that you will receive the full EdChoice Scholarship, no payment is due at this time. If you anticipate that you will receive a partial Ed Choice payment (or none at all), please begin to make tuition payments for the balance you anticipate. TUITION ASSISTANCE
If you will not be receiving the EdChoice Scholarship because your child is receiving another state scholarship, (ie. Peterson, autism, etc.) or you live outside of the state of Ohio, we highly encourage you to apply for tuition assistance. In order to do this, you must create an account and register through FACTS: FACTS log in. Even if you have applied in the past, we encourage you to do so again, as we are finding ways to disperse money to our families who are not eligible for EdChoice this year. K-12 BILLING AND PAYMENT PROGRAM
Effective September 20, for those who submit electronic payments through K12 Payment Center, credit and debit card convenience fees for all payments will be 3.95% of the transaction amount with a minimum fee of $2.60 per transaction. ACH or eCheck transactions, if applicable, will carry a flat fee of $1.80 per transaction.
Fees can can still be paid in the school office with cash or check with no fee.

HOMEROOM PARENTS NEEDED!
Are you interested in volunteering to be a homeroom parent for your child's classroom? Homeroom Parent is a role that organizes and carries out the classroom holiday parties for the students. You'll get to work as a team with the other homeroom parents in the same grade.

The Adorers for Life, a team of lay Catholics, have set up a Perpetual Adoration Chapel with the intention of ending abortion in Cincinnati. This imitates Fr. Larry Richard, who set up perpetual adoration with the intention of closing the abortion clinic near his parish. A few months after beginning adoration, the abortion clinic closed. Currently adoration is being offered one full day a week (7:00am Wednesday through 7:00am Thursday) at the Annunciation Church in Clifton. Please prayerfully consider signing up for one hour of adoration a week and helping the Adorers reach their goal of perpetual adoration 24/7 before the November election!
