Dear Parents and Guardians,
During the month of November, we are focusing on the Virtue of Courtesy. Our students and staff are taking time to better understand this Virtue, which we define as “being thoughtful of others.” This is something that we truly reiterate throughout the building each and every day. Some of the holy people who show Courtesy include St. Martin de Porres, Ven. Solanus Casey, and Ven. Pierre Toussaint.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated gently used toys for St. Leo’s parish. On Wednesday, November 15, we will be collecting NEW toys for McCreary County, Kentucky. Please have your child drop them off in the cafeteria. Our November Spirit Day on Friday, November 17, will also benefit residents of McCreary County. Again, thank you to everyone for your generosity!
Our French students and chaperones were greeted with a warm welcome at the airport on Tuesday afternoon. Father Bolte even called all of them to the altar at Mass on Wednesday. I feel confident in saying that they are already having a great time!
I continue to lift you, our families, up in prayer every day. Please continue to pray for the staff, students, and benefactors of our school. It is a source of strength and support.

Families are invited to purchase a NEW toy ($20 or less) for those less fortunate. NEW toys, for ages 1-12, will be delivered to Whitley City, Kentucky, for the Children’s Christmas Party in December. All new toys should be taken to the cafeteria on the morning of November 15.

Our November Spirit Day Outreach (prayers and dollar donation) will also go to the people of McCreary County. Our dollar donations will be used to buy Kroger gift cards, which, along with the NEW toys, will be taken to them.

AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT REGISTRATION NOVEMBER 6-NOVEMBER 27

NEW COORDINATORS NEEDED!
As we prepare to welcome new and familiar classes and instructors back into the building, we still need help for this program to stay alive. PTO is seeking 2 to 3 new coordinators to take over After School Enrichment for the 2024/2025 school year. CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR THE
ST. IGNATIUS STAFF
Each year, the PTO collects donations from families towards the gifts for ALL of the St. Ignatius staff, which includes teachers, specialists, music, physical education, art, nurse, cafeteria, aides, office and administrative staff. All contributions are pooled together and staff are able to select gift cards from the Raise Right program with the money collected, which is greatly appreciated!
**If you plan to contribute, please send your family donation (cash/check) to school in these envelopes by TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21.
**Please write your child’s/children’s name(s) on the envelope along with the grade(s) and send it to school. Cash or checks are encouraged and checks should be payable to: St. Ignatius PTO.
