MRS. HEISEL'S HEADLINES
DECEMBER 15, 2023
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we prepare for the birth of our Lord, we have had many opportunities here at school to prepare our hearts and get ready to celebrate Christmas.
~~~Our 4th graders put on a their traditional pageant this week. Their angelic voices and special story reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas. Special thanks to their teachers for all of their hard work as well.
~~~Our band students also put on a wonderful performance to get us in the Christmas spirit! The hard work of these musicians and their teachers was evident as they played for us the sounds of the season. I am so proud of all our student performers and am so grateful for their talents and hard work.
Today, over $1000 was raised for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Cancer camp through our Spirit Day contributions. Thank you all for your donations and prayers.
On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to thank all who have contributed to the Christmas gifts. Your generosity and warm wishes are greatly appreciated, and we are beyond blessed to have such kind and giving parents.
As we complete the last couple of days before Christmas break, I would like to wish everyone a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year, full of love, happiness, and good health. We look forward to greeting all the children back on Wednesday, January 3.
In Christ’s Peace,
Angie Heisel
Principal
WATER BOTTLES
Spilled water from water bottles has become an increasing problem, including puddles on the floor, school work getting wet, and even spills on the iPads. I know how important hydration is, and I do not want to take that away, however, we do need a solution to this. Starting after the Christmas break,
all water bottles must have a closed lid. NO MORE straws as they spill very easily when tipped over. Having to unscrew the lid to take a drink is also not an option. The best types of water bottles are the kind where the students can drink out of the spout and then it can be closed (a flip-top spout).
I think this is a happy compromise!
Please also remember that only WATER is to be in the water bottles.
EDCHOICE UPDATES
At this point, we have 750 EdChoice scholarships "Accepted" and 144 still in the "Under Review" status. The EdChoice scholarship will come to the school in 10 monthly installments (10% each month), and the last one will be received in June, 2024.
To find your balance, please subtract your scholarship from the total amount of tuition that is due if you are not receiving the entire scholarship. If your child/ren is receiving the full amount, then you have nothing due, and you can disregard your monthly statements. Please know that your tuition statements will not truly reflect your exact balance because of the timing of us receiving, processing, posting balances, and sending out statements.
If your application is still "Under Review", EdChoice has advised us to have parents check their Income Verification status to make sure it is at least "Submitted". Please note that everyone who is applying for this scholarship MUST submit their 2022 income.
If your Income Verification has been in "Submitted" status prior to September 15, please email edchoice@saintischool.org, so that we can contact EdChoice. If your "Submitted" status is AFTER September 15, please continue to be patient.
Acceptance Forms and Waivers
We check the EdChoice website several times a day, and as soon as we see an application go into the Awarded status, we are able to accept them, even prior to parents receiving the actual acceptance form in the US mail. When you receive this form, please send to Ms. Patty Thomas in the school office. In order for us to directly credit your account, please fill out and return the waiver that is attached to this Wire if you have not done so already.
