MRS. HEISEL'S HEADLINES
MARCH 1, 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy March! Spring is just around the corner and the 2nd trimester ends next Friday! Time is flying! You will find the calendar for the 24-25 school year attached to this Wire!
With a new month comes a new virtue. March’s virtue is RESPECT, which is “recognizing the dignity of all people.” Many saints have exemplified respect, but we will focus in particular on St. Jeanne Jugan, St. Damien of Molokai, and St. John Paul II.
Just a friendly reminder that this Monday is a School of Faith in-service day for our faculty, so that means no school for our students. I also sent an email out this week letting everyone know of our decision to cancel school on Monday, April 8, the day of the solar eclipse. We are one of many, many schools and districts that have decided to cancel school that day due to safety, traffic, and anticipated low attendance.
Please keep our second and seventh-graders in your prayers. These students are in the final stages of their Sacramental preparation for First Communion and Confirmation. We are very proud of these students as they continue on the path of deepening their relationship with Jesus.
I pray that this Lent has been a time of prayer and reflection for all of you. You are in my daily prayers. May all of our students, parents, staff, alumni, and friends feel God’s loving presence now and always.
In Christ’s Peace,
Angie Heisel
Principal
