MRS. HEISEL'S HEADLINES
MARCH 8, 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe, but today is the end of the second trimester! Monday begins the third and final trimester of this school year. Report cards will be sent home at the end of next week. During the next 12 weeks, students and staff will continue to deepen their learning, engage in fun activities, and take time to pray. We look forward to the many end-of-the-year activities and events!
March looks to be busy, filled with prayer, fun, and strong academics. I would ask you to keep the 7th and 2nd graders in your prayers as they are preparing for the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. Half of our 7th graders attended a Confirmation retreat this week and the other half will attend later this month. Our first graders got to celebrate Grandparents Day last week with their grandparents or special friends, and the second graders will also get to celebrate next Friday. Sixth graders get to spend two nights at Camp Joy next week, and Mrs. Heisel and Mrs. Auletto are taking a small group to France on March 16 as part of our exchange program.
This Tuesday, March 12, we celebrate the canonization of our patron, St. Ignatius of Loyola. The day will be filled with a scavenger hunt, fun facts about St. Ignatius, and treats for both students and staff! St. Ignatius, founder of The Society of Jesus (The Jesuit Order) was canonized on March 12, 1622.
Just a quick reminder that Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend, and we “Spring Forward,” so make sure to change your clocks!
I ask you to keep us in your prayers this month as we grow deeper in our faith, study and learn, travel near and far, and continue to make memories!
In Christ’s Peace,
Angie Heisel
