MRS. HEISEL'S HEADLINES
APRIL 12, 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Between our French exchange trip, spring break, and the solar eclipse, I feel like I haven’t “talked” with you in awhile! I hope everyone had a blessed Easter, and a wonderful break filled with quality time with family and friends! As we continue to observe the Easter season, we carry on here at school with many fun activities and exciting learning opportunities happening at St. Ignatius!
On Wednesday evening, about half of our 7th grade students celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Basilica Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains, and on Thursday, the other half received the Sacrament here at St. Ignatius Parish Church. 128 students were confirmed, surrounded by their sponsors, families, and the school staff. We are very proud of the newly confirmed and look forward to their contributions to the Church. I would also like to thank Mrs. Burgan and Mrs. Abele for their teaching, hard work, and coordination of these special Liturgies.
Please keep our second-graders in your prayers. They are in the final stages of their sacramental preparation for First Communion. We are very proud of these students as they continue on the path of deepening their relationship with Jesus.
On behalf of our kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Cassiere, I’d like to thank all who have been praying for her husband Scott, who received a kidney transplant from his living donor over break. He is recovering slowly, but each day seems better and better. Please continue to keep him in your prayers, as he heals and becomes stronger.
Please join me in praying for our staff and students. We truly appreciate all the prayers and support we receive from our families, friends, and benefactors.
In Christ’s Peace,
Angie Heisel
Principal
TUTION REFUNDS/ IF APPLICABLE
Some families had made tuition payments before all EdChoice was finalized and may have ended up overpaying. The parish office has been going through all of the accounts and has started issuing refunds. The first round of refunds has been sent out. If you feel you are due a refund because of overpayment of tuition, it is likely coming in the next round of refunds. If you have any questions, you can contact Barb Cambell in the parish office.
