MRS. HEISEL'S HEADLINES
MAY 2, 2024
Dear Parents and Guardians,
May has arrived, the flowers are beginning to bloom, and we are in the home stretch with one more month of school! There are so many exciting things that happen during the month of May! First and foremost, it is the month of our Most Blessed Mother, Mary. We will honor Mary in many ways throughout the month, both as a school and in our individual classrooms. Next week we will celebrate Art Week and have so many wonderful art activities planned. As the month goes on, we will have the 8th grade Carnival, the iWalk, Graduation, and Olympic Day just to name a few!
This Sunday, the last of our 2nd grade students will receive Jesus for the first time during their First Holy Communion. We rejoice with Ms. Etris and Ms. Cassaro’s classes who will be welcomed to the table of our Lord. I want to thank our staff for their amazing support, teaching, and above all, their examples of living their faith every day. Thanks especially to our 2nd grade teachers, Ms. Schoenfeld, Ms. Etris, Ms. Cassaro, Mrs. Crowley, and Ms. Eichhold. Also, a big thank you to our parents for nurturing the Faith in their children and families.
With the new month of May, also comes the new virtue of the month, which is responsibility. Responsibility is being reliable in your duties and accountable for your actions. Some saints we will be learning about this month who truly practiced this virtue are St. Peter, St. Henry II, and Blessed Bartolo Longo.
Next week is traditionally when we celebrate our teachers and school nurse during Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurse Appreciation Week. I can not say enough about our beloved teachers and school nurse, Mrs. Reder. They go above and beyond every day for our students! If you happen to see one of them next week, let them know how much you appreciate them as well!
Join me in praying for our staff, students, and all those who make St. Ignatius such an amazing place to be!
In Christ’s Peace,
Angie Heisel

HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE SUPPORTING ST. I THROUGH THE SGO!
A huge THANK YOU for supporting St. Ignatius through the Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). Over $82,00 was raised by more than 120 individuals to support tuition assistance for the 2023 tax year. Your generosity places us as one of the top three elementary schools receiving the most contributions. Our students are blessed by generous supporters who value Catholic education.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Heisel
