MR. VANCE'S NEWS TO USE THIS WEEK
MAY 1, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we begin the month of May, I pray that you and your family are healthy. Once again, I want to thank you, our parents, for your support and patience during this difficult time and remote learning. I am quite confident with the partnership between you and our staff, the children of St. Ignatius will continue to receive a meaningful education during this time.
During the month of May, the staff and students will focus on the Virtue of Diligence. We define diligence as doing your best and working hard until you are finished. To practice this virtue, we will learn that diligence doesn’t mean that we just finish something but that we also pay attention to what we are doing so that it is done well. Students will be introduced to St. Catharine of Siena, St. Andre Bessette, and St. Francis deSales. These Saints practiced diligence and are good examples for all of us.
Please have your family join me in praying this simple prayer to St. Andre’ Bessette as we practice diligence and holiness.
Dear Saint Andre’, you worked hard doing many good things to bring people closer to God. Please help me to do my best at all my work, no matter how long it takes or how big or small the job. Help me to do it for Jesus. Amen.
Saint Andre’ Bessette, pray for us!
I pray each day for your health and patience with one another, and those on the front line. I hope it is a source of strength for you.
In Christ’s Peace,
Kevin Vance
