MR. VANCE'S NEWS TO USE THIS WEEK
DECEMBER 11, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we enter the third week of Advent, we light the rose colored candle. This begins our Gaudete week. Gaudete week focuses on the spirit of Joy that the Savior of the world is soon to be born. I pray this week is filled with joy as you and your family prepare your inner lives for the celebration of Christ’s birth.
DECEMBER 14-18 REMOTE LEARNING
The week of December 14-18 will be remote learning for all students at St. Ignatius. We are working to make it look and feel like the child is attending school here in the building. We are asking that all students be up, fed, and ready to work at a table or desk. Students should be in their uniform top or spirit wear for all of their zoom sessions. Attendance will be taken and tracked. If the child is not able to attend the zoom session, please let your child’s teacher know which day and the reason. A complete list of virtual learning expectations is listed later in this Wire. This new structure was well received by our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who were remote last week.

A huge thank you to all who have participated in the raffle, and supported St. I's.

Finally, on behalf of all the staff, Mrs. Sieve and myself, I want to thank all our parents and guardians who donated to the staff gifts for Christmas. Teachers also received many of the items on their Wish Lists to help them as they venture through virtual, remote, and in-person instruction. Thank you to our wonderful PTO for organizing these projects. Your kindness and generosity have been a source of strength to all of us during this interesting school year. It is amazing that even in these difficult times, many of you are focused on the wellness of others. What a true testament to the strength and compassion of this community. We are so blessed that you have chosen St. Ignatius as the school to enrich the lives of your child/ren and your family.
May this Christmas be filled with joy and peace.
May the celebration of the Birth of Jesus be a time of faith filled prayer
and recognition of God’s work in our lives.
From the staff of Saint Ignatius, we wish you a blessed and Merry Christmas.
We look forward to seeing your children soon in the new year, 2021!
In Christ's Peace,
Kevin Vance
Principal
